a selection of sketchbook entries and works on paper from over 100 visual considerations done over the course of 6 months of a cherished pair of cheap, blue haircutting scissors I purchased at a pharmacy in my adolescence. beginning as a ritualistic approach to honoring the inanimate "everyday" objects that accompany me in life, ended with the belief that through the practice of a conscious act of devotion, a deep respect for the instruments, and things unseen, that ultimately sum up to define our identity.
